The WCS Summer School program is not the traditional summer school model, there is no daily required attendance. Most courses have optional teacher office hours and students are guided by teachers at their own pace.

The course structure will consist mainly of work done independently in MathXL, on an online learning environment. Students will work through each unit at their own pace while answering practice questions and completing quizzes to prepare for each unit test.

An exam halfway through the course and an exam covering the second part of the course will need to be taken at school.

All other work can be done off-site on MathXL. This course presents the history of Florida from its earliest inhabitants to the present, emphasizing the period since when the United States acquired Florida from Spain.

Student must earn a final grade of B or better in English. The student will develop communicative skills in all 3 modes of communication and cross-cultural understanding.

Emphasis is placed on proficient communication in the language. An introduction to reading and writing is also included as well as culture, connections, comparisons, and communities.
